Ich denke wie bei BMW‘s AcceleratION Traineeprogramm wird jeder eingeladen.

Well I didn’t get the invite yet, the recruiters told me the waiting period is at least another 1,5 weeks till all the interviews are over and after that we meet in December again.

Sure here are some questions that I got directly over E-Mail from the recruiters and diring the interview:

• present yourself in a structured manner
• talk about your qualifications and skills
• motivation for change and for mercedes

Here come the common interview questions:

• tell about a work situation where your worked under stress/conflict - talk about it but don’t forget to give the most time to the solution to the problem
• talk about a feedback situation and especially one where the feedback wasn’t that good - also here you have to expose the proactive way you used your feedback to improve your work
• what would be the difficulties for you if you’ll get on this engineering position - this is a subjective one but don’t forget the twist where even tho you have lacks in your skills you can still compensate them by other of your qualities

At the end, at least in the engineering interview, you’ll get a interview exercise where you’ll have to conceptually solve a given problem: lower power costs for a component, make a production prediction on a new feature, use a specific technology to improve a existing car feature etc.

Overall, be relaxed and don’t stress about it too much, they’re there because you have worth and can bring something to the table.

From what I've heard, there is also the possibility of more than one competitor getting an offer (maybe another position though) in case you perform decently enough overall.

From what I have heard, there is at least some chance that more than 1 participant will get an offer for a position, in case you perform decently overall.

Da ich auch mal in einer ähnlichen Situation war, weiß ich wie es sich anfühlt wenn man nicht weiß was einem im AC erwartet ;)

Grundsätzlich würde ich mich auf folgenden 4 (Standard-)Situationen vorbereiten:

1. Selbstvorstellung/Selbstpräsentation
2. Fallstudie/Case: Bearbeitung und Präsentation (alleine oder in der Gruppe)
3. Rollenspiel a la Konfliktgespräch mit Kunde/MA/Chef (kam bei mir immer dran!)
4. Gruppendiskussion

Das ist natürlich keine vollständige Liste und alles kann (und wird sicherlich) auch zu großen Teilen in Englisch stattfinden.

Bei so einem AC sind ja dann wirklich nur noch die Top Kandidaten dabei. Ich frage mich, wie man sich dann in zB der Gruppendiskussion am Besten verhält. Es können ja nicht alle Teilnehmer Diskussionsführer sein. Die Rolle liegt mir nicht, ich möchte mich da nicht aufspielen und selbstdarstellerisch sein, möchte durch anderes Auftreten punkten. Leadership ist ja nicht nur, wer sich am meisten durchsetzen kann. Mir bammelt es ziemlich vor dem AC. Ich versuche mir zu sagen, dass es einen Grund gibt weshalb ich dort bin, aber ich kenne mich und weiß, dass ich in solchen Szenarien einfach oft zu still werde.

Hat jemand Tipps?

I just present what is closest to the track I’m applying for. I reached out to someone on LinkedIn who’s currently an Inspiree and asked how to best prepare and he said to just keep it simple and authentic.

Im not from the region but I looked at the address they sent on maps and was wondeeing why it doesn’t look like a production plant. Is it in a university?

You're correct. It's their office space. Only offices are located in Vaihingen Campus.

These offices are mostly related to HR, finances and leasing, sales operations, marketing and similar administrative departments.
And yes, you got it right, there's no production.

Hi, sure, si I was at the event on the 3-rd, so for the Engineering position.

Everything began with a fast presentation from all applicants, followed by our inspire presentations but in separate rooms, each with 2 observers.

After that we engaged in a group project where we got a case study about a work related topic and we had 40 minutes to do a presentation and a solution concept (a plan, solution, roadmap etc). In this time we were groups of 3 candidates in a room with 2 observers who wrote everything down what we prepared and after the presentation they asked some more content questions.

At the end we each got individual interviews, pretty basic questions about: soft skills, work scenarios you need to solve and hard skills. Nothing technical, they were pretty nice.

And ofc the lunch and a cool experience with a cool car, so that was the day.

Overall stay relaxed and don’t overthink it, you are there to show yourself, not your stress levels.

I have received first-hand information from Mercedes HR that, due to the current negative financial situation, the Inspire program is currently on hold and may potentially be discontinued altogether. As a result, the application period that was set to begin on April 1, 2025, has not started.
